In a hi-tech world in which objects are being mass produces and faster production and assembly lines are created every day, Westpha wants us to slow down and remember; and do so on a comfortable chair. The great thing about both Stitch and Wooly is that they are always a work in progress: you can rearrange the yarn and make them as colorful and as inviting as you want. The chairs are intentionally left unfinished, so that the customers can all contribute to their own chair while, at the same time, taking a break from the world and all the fuss and rush we surround ourselves with everyday. So, these chairs are also furniture, but a continually work in progress for whenever you feel the need to stop running. Whenever you sit and build the chair, you get a chance to relax, unwind and slow down time.' (via Trend Buyers) Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
