Krista achieves this freedom through separate enactments in which people are not emphatically present, but do determine the atmosphere. Krista makes a weekly contribution to the Dutch national newspaper, De Volkskrant, in which she portrays couples in love while maintaining their anonymity. Their faces are not part of the image but their identity is nevertheless eloquent as a result of the remarkable poses they strike.
